One of the worst things about being fat is that you are always on a diet. They find a way to lose the extra pounds, but somehow the pounds seem to come back with a vengeance. Dieting is hard enough, but nobody likes to keep doing the same thing over and over again. I recently discovered a website called the biggest loser forum where there were scores of people who were talking about all of the struggles that they were facing because they were overweight, and I decided it was time to find a solution to the problem.
I went online to do the necessary research. In addition to information that I could find on the chat rooms, I also found a bunch of information on diets that were available including many diets that promised to teach me how to lose weight fast and told me I could have the body I desired in just a short time with no effort. I was very skeptical of the claims that these products made. According to my research if I took these herbs, my body would be cleansed of the impurities that are in it. When you detox your body it helps also cleanse your body of fat and other things that contribute to a person’s problem of being overweight. In addition to taking the medicine these plans also often expect you to eat in a certain way that is not always easy to follow. Almost every detox plan includes the disclaimer that they should not be undertaken without consulting a doctor first. I didn’t want to spend my hard earned money on something that might or might not work. I also didn’t believe that a cleansing system would provide me with a permanent solution to a problem I had been dealing with most of my life. I knew that there had to be a better way and I went about trying to discover it.
No matter where I looked, the answer to my question looked the same, eat right and be active. I began to realize that in order to get fit and trim that it was best to do it through a complete fitness regimen. I thought that it wouldn’t be difficult. The truth is that it is not an easy process. There are so many temptations and distractions that are placed in front of us every day. Avoiding these things requires an intense amount of work. I wondered if I would have to get up early every morning to prepare a special diet for the day and still have time to do a bunch of six pack ab exercises in order for me to get a healthy body that I desired, or if there was an easier way to accomplish my goals.
I knew that I had to make the choice to get fit and healthy. I was tired of being called the fat guy and was determined to change it. I didn’t care that it would require an effort on my part, I knew I had to do something. I decided what kind of program I would follow. I chose to ignore the popular diets that people wrote about and to just stick with every day types of food. I was just going change the way I prepared my food and eat less of it. I did not include foods that were full of grease on my diet. I also decided to stop dinking as much. The drive thrus I used to frequent became drive by. I was determined to change my diet for the better. I also committed to working out. I had to figure out when to work out but I knew I could. I set some goals for me to reach and was determined not to quit until I reached the goals.
The efforts paid off. I was dropping the pounds and feeling better every day. I was able to change my lifestyle and it wasn’t as bad. The places that I used to go to when I was fat were not as important to me as I thought they were and I had found new places. Instead of starting a diet that would get rid of some weight for a short time, I was doing things that got rid of the weight and were keeping it off. I knew what I had to do to eliminate the yo-yo process that I had been stuck in for years. All that was needed was to do what I was taught as a kid, eat right, exercise, and take your vitamins.
